Chairs
Your Ergoform chairs with regular care and maintenance will provide many years of excellent service. To maintain the quality finish please follow the cleaning and maintenance instructions set out below.
These instructions are provided as a recommendation without warranty, as the conditions and results may vary.
Mechanism / Gas Spring
Where fitted, the chair mechanism and gas spring are lubricated during manufacture and any further maintenance should only be undertaken by a trained service person. Check regularly the mechanism, glides or castors are securely fitted.
Fabric
- For regular cleaning vacuum gently with an upholstery attachment. Do not steam clean.
- Do not place fabric in a position of exposure to direct sunlight.
- For stain removal professional dry cleaning is recommended.
Leather
- Do not place leather furniture in a position of exposure to direct sunlight, near radiators, air conditioning vents, humidifiers or a fireplace.
- Dust on a regular basis and before vacuuming with a clean dry duster
- Remove spills immediately by gently blotting the liquid from the surface immediately with a clean non-coloured absorbent cloth or sponge and let the surface air-dry at room temperature.
- Do not use saddle soap, solvents, furniture polish, oils, abrasive cleaners, and soap or ammonia solution to clean the leather
- Use proprietary leather cleaners and conditioners strictly in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions
- For a persistent stain removal professional cleaning is recommended
Polished Aluminium
- For routine cleaning apply a soft wax paste (such as NXT Generation Metal Polysh) while following the manufacturers instructions. In humid conditions or near salt water apply the wax once a month
Polished Chrome
- For routine cleaning wet a cloth in a non-abrasive cleaner and gently rub the surface until the original lustre appears. Buff dry with a soft dry cloth to remove any cleaner residue
Plastic Components
- Clean reguarly with a soft cloth soaked in a mild detergent and lukewarm water. Rinse and throughly dry the area with soft cloth. Do not under any circumstances use an abrasive cleaner or a solvent.
Powdercoated Metal
- For normal cleaning wash surfaces with a soft cloth in mild detergent and lukewarm water. Rinse thoroughly and gently buff dry with soft lint free cloth.
- 2. Scuff marks may be removed with an automotive soft paste wax or liquid while following the manufacturers instructions
Vinyl Fabric
- To clean common surface soiling use a soft cloth soaked in a mild detergent and lukewarm water. Rinse and dry throughly the area with soft cloth.
- For dirt ingrained in the vinyl pattern use a soft brush with a mild detergent and lukewarm water. Rinse and dry throughly the area with soft cloth.
- Do not under any circumstances use an abrasive cleaner or a solvent.
